What’s the buzz?
Media for social inter
action, using highly accessible and measurable publishing techniques. Social media uses web-based technologies to turn communication into interactive dialogues.
BUZZ #1 Companies that are evolving into social companies, businesses interested in participating in a genuine conversation with their customers, are those that will succeed in the new marketplace.
BUZZ #2 People who utilize the social media on a consistent basis and make themselves relevant and informative are more visible and will be easier to find on the internet. Friend me on Facebook! Follow me on Twitter! If you’re sick of hearing it, imagine how your customers must feel. They’re not just going to yawn when you proudly unveil your newest social-media account — they’re going to start rolling their eyes. Yesterday, you needed to give your customers a reason to be curious – “Hello World” “Um, Coffee” “I’m Home” “I Ate A Bagel” “It’s Raining”. Today, you can’t just say whatever mundane thing pops into your head. You need to find a way to be ESSENTIAL. Those people need to want to know what you have to say.
BUZZ #3 Whether you’re tired of hearing about it or not, it’s becoming clear that social-media marketing isn’t the Next Big Thing anymore. It’s just the thing that everyone does. Grasping the importance of that transition is key to the success of your marketing endeavors. BUT, you have to do it right. If you’ve figured it out, so has the competition. A lot of businesses, especially smaller companies, have put themselves on the map over the past few years by dominating a space their competitors ignored. You can’t count on that any longer. You don’t just have to compete with your rival’s product; you need to best their social presence, too, if you’re going to maintain your marketing edge.
In conclusion – Utilizing the Social Media is FREE. There are people on social media sites that you can REACH (half a billion on Facebook alone). You need a successful social media STRATEGY and you need to maintain it. It is as simple as that.
So as not to overwhelm, I now bid you adieu. A successful marketing strategy and a good DAY to you!
